Monique Guidry
27:24
Hey!! Monique Guidry AAECE/GECEP
Monique Guidry
31:00
Can that calendar be shareable?
Patricia Sullivan
31:31
Can we make sure the training is going to be approved by the Registry?
Mona Malan
34:07
I can speak to that.
Huiying Li
34:21
and TK is going to be a problem
Patricia Sullivan
34:23
Please complete the vacancy survey by either Children's Council or FCCASF so we can have data to show that everyone has vacancies.
Huiying Li
34:53
this is the low season
Huiying Li
34:55
too
Patricia Sullivan
35:41
We need to get the system fixed before end of January so that we are ready for the new year.
Mona Malan
35:50
Thanks, Pat.
Huiying Li
35:51
we can not wait. please do it as soon as possible
Mona Malan
36:23
Yes, Graham! Thanks for that too.
Huiying Li
37:28
I just wonder why can't ELSF be automatically again, just make sure entering the radius properly
Huiying Li
38:59
that new approach has to train and inform us asap
Patricia Sullivan
39:39
Great question, Varlander!
Mona Malan
40:05
I'll make sure that is communicated again. I'll connect with our subsidy folks on it.
Huiying Li
40:42
I saw that, but doesn't know what that means
Song Moy
40:46
I don’t know
Patricia Sullivan
41:06
It was in an email announcement from Children's Council.
Mona Malan
42:28
We had high open rates on that email, but I'll look at messaging to make sure it was clear. I haven't seen it.
Patricia Sullivan
44:40
Is there a way to provide funding for FCCs who must keep their income low to qualify for housing that does not impact their income?
Graham Dobson
45:20
Pat - we can talk about this when I present
Mona Malan
47:50
We might need a workgroup around that Pat and Graham. I've had numerous fights with BMR folks about gross versus net income. Staff assessing income need more education about what they are looking at. My opinion. 😊
Huiying Li
50:59
is this question for Mona too?about the referrals, how is current wait list status? are all 3000 families contacted? if not, is it because the staffing level not enough to handle it or what is the reason.if this is not the right time to talk about this, can we set up something to learn more?
Patricia Sullivan
54:50
Thank you Lisa! We want to get those advanced degrees!
Mona Malan
56:02
Happy to set something up, Oscar. Yes, they are all contacted initially and checked in with periodically thereafter.
Huiying Li
58:32
thanks Mona
Huiying Li
58:47
please invite Pat as well
Huiying Li
01:01:31
this grant application is coming out in January or February 2022https://cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-and-development/infrastructure-grant-programproviders can take a look and prepare
Renee Underwood
01:03:39
Are the benifits included in the parity income
Patricia Sullivan
01:03:56
How is parity with SFUSD changing now that the requirements for teacher certification is changing?
Renee Underwood
01:06:49
Thank you Lisa
Patricia Sullivan
01:08:19
Thanks Lisa, that would be a good problem to have! Too many teachers with degrees!
Patricia Sullivan
01:09:23
Is dual language part of that target population?
Marianna Solodkova
01:11:26
Many of us would serve 100% low income families, however, we only have as many of them as were sent to us by referral agencies. Most of the time, it’s not a provider’s choice, but goes back to referrals!
Huiying Li
01:15:06
who defines if DLL families are DLL ?
Huiying Li
01:18:22
if the referrals are broken, how can that be a criteria
Wei-min Wang (he/him)
01:18:22
we typically define DLL as children with a home language other than English
Wei-min Wang (he/him)
01:18:44
and we rely on parent report
Wei-min Wang (he/him)
01:19:42
but I'm not sure that DLL is a target population
Wei-min Wang (he/him)
01:19:53
more than 60% of children in SF are DLL
Licette (she/her) DEC
01:23:52
We will be sure to send out the recording of this meeting.
Licette (she/her) DEC
01:27:27
Thank you, Pat!
Huiying Li
01:30:29
I am just afraid if the referrals system are not transparent And fair, that can be a big issue
Varlander Gastinell
01:32:06
And it's hard to find people to work in family child care now.

Thanks Brenda. That is very strange. I'll look into it. We should always get permission about language prior.
